Discipleship
CLINTON READS
Psalm 119:9-11
“Clinton Reads” is the HEART of First Methodist Church’s discipleship ministry. Every member of FMC is encouraged to join a class group made up of 12 or less people. Each week all the members of FMC will be reading the same chapter from one of the books of the bible and then gather together at a convenient time for one hour. In that hour class group members will update the group on how their lives and faith journey are doing, pray, and then share what each person gleaned from the reading that week.
This approach to discipleship reflects the early methodist movement started by John and Charles Wesley. The belief was that by gathering together for prayer, accountability, and scripture, the attendees would grow in their personal walks with Jesus Christ.
At FMC we have a heart for discipleship and we hope that you would join in and grow with us as Clinton Reads Scripture.
