At First Methodist Church, we have a heart for missions and outreach that extends outside of our four walls and around the globe.  Our Missions & Outreach Council is committed to two key priorities: education and opportunities to serve in Christ’s kingdom.  

We are committed to providing the church with opportunities to learn about what God is doing locally, nationally, and globally to further His kingdom.  This includes supporting our ministry partners in South Asia, in Liberia, Africa, and here in the US.  We also offer opportunities throughout the year for the church to engage in global prayer regarding the church and God’s work in the world.

Our church’s downtown location provides many opportunities for church members and attendees to become active and engaged in service and missional work.  Some of our current opportunities include building and distributing care kits for our unhoused neighbors, our Open Doors ministry that provides meals, drinks, and snacks for needy visitors, and our Brunch Box ministry that provides families with meals during the school year when students are on breaks.
